Piece of a dream

Categories: dreams

Just woke up from a brief nap and had the most insane dream.ƒ There was a lot more to it but I don’t remember it all.

Earl was back from his trip. This trip was a hunting expedition of some kind. And on the trip he nabbed a small tiger. We were in a hotel meeting room, but somehow it was our room, because I was laying on a bed watching him sit on the floor and preparing to skin the tiger. He was telling me the tale of how he captured it and how he’s caught tigers liked this before and skinned them with no trouble. And I was fascinated.  Until the one he was prepping on woke up just add I asked him how did he kill it.  And it was upset.  He started holding the paws together in an attempt to restrain the tiger and I asked him what we should do.  He started giving me instructions on what to do as if he wasn’t going to be there anymore. And just like that I looked up, he was gone but there were three books on the floor lined up where he had been working ( like legal pads and composition notebooks) and the tiger had made off under the bed to the other side where I felt it nip at my feet and I screamed out of my sleep “oh God!!!”

I immediately looked up what the presence of a tiger meant in the dream bible and found the following:

To see a tiger in your dream, represents an aspect of your personality that has unquestioned power. Issues or people that have total power over you. Tigers often symbolize a problem or powerful fear that you’ll do absolutely everything to avoid confronting. A tiger may also reflect a powerful misconception you have. A lie or misunderstanding that heavily influences you.

Alternatively, a tiger may reflect your own unquestioned authority. Feeling other people fear to confront you.

Negatively, a tiger may reflect an unquestioned fear. Running away from problems based on assumptions. Rumors that scare you. Assuming that your enemies have more power than you without question. A lack of critical thinking about something serious you’ve heard. Feeling that problem is too dangerous to even consider thinking about confronting and choosing to run away from it as a first option. A naive fear you have. Alternatively, it may reflect your own abuse of rumors, other people’s inexperience, or others misconceptions about you.

Sooooo… there a billion ways to slice the meaning up to apply to this dream

But as always I’ll log and hope to come back to it and understand it more later.

So much for my nap.
