First Sunrise

I tiptoed down the stairs and opened the door to the back of the building to get to the train.  I looked around before I stepped down the stair.  It was 6:43 AM.  It was nighttime dark outside but I had to get to the trains by a quarter to seven.  There were patches of thick heavy clouds above me and on the floor were wet rocks and large rainbow puddles in crevices.  I turned the corner of the alley and looked at the sky and saw the most colossal cloud hovering above me in the sky.  I thought any minute it would fall on me or open up and drench me beyond belief.   I quietly gasped.  Then my eye caught something strange.  The cloud had a pink reflection coming off of it and everywhere around the cloud were muted spaces of dark sky blue.  I turned to see what could be reflected so pink.  I looked and saw a large red dot in the sky. I stared straight into it without squinting or blinking once.  To my excitement it was the sun rising up.  Strange enough, is that to my right, was a perfect night sky.  Such a contrast in such a small area gave off such beauty and wonder.
