My Sug-ah

No… this is not a post about my Earl 😉

This is a post about my best friend Sug. Today, March 7th is a special day. It is the day that the Lord put her on this earth to inspire the masses! She’s successfully escaped the Matrix and she’s not coming back… soaring high above regular living expectations and doing all the things that she dreams of. “Honestly, I don’t know what I’m going to do with my life…” she said to me on the phone today. I’ve heard this before from other people. But hearing it from her is from a totally different perspective. From others, it’s been from a shiftless, aimless perspective. I can see them in my mind’s eye sitting on a couch with one hand down their pants and the other on the remote getting older and fatter and saying “I don’t know what I’m going to do with my life.” But from her… she’s moving and shaking and changing every minute. So when she says she doesn’t know… it means tomorrow morning she could wake up and decide she wants to be an Artist. Or wake up the day after that and decide she wants to be a doctor. Or join the peace corps. Or become CEO of a huge conglomerate. Or proprietor of her own cafe… But whatever she’s going to decide tomorrow, she’s going to give it her whole heart and all her passion. I love her so much and she’s such an inspiration. I do whole-heartedly miss her. I was watching Shawshank Redemption last night and it makes me think of her. Just how she got through the mire of standard thinking and sailed to freedom in Saywatanayo. I just wish I could find a tin with money and instructions to do the same one day. She’s living the example.

Happy Birthday, Sugie-boog!
